About Us

What they do:

Don and Vivian have been working together to assist businesses with their benefit and investment needs.  They also help individuals and families to achieve their financial goals, including college funding as well as retirement and estate planning.  They pay particular attention to determining the right suitability of the investment to each individual client. 

Their history:

In 1998 a client of Don's referred a friend to him for investments, but asked to have someone help translate to Chinese.  Don asked around the office if anyone spoke Chinese, and was introduced to Vivian Chu.  From that initial meeting Don and Vivian have been working together ever since.  Just over a year later they were married.  It's the first marriage for both of them and they have no children.  Vivian claims that since she married Don she can't handle any more kids.

Personal Bios:

Don Willner:  Born April 24th, 1960, in Long Beach, CA.

Studied statistics at Long Beach and organizational development at the University of San Francisco.

Moved to Northern California in 1986.

Entered the insurance and investment industry in 1983, and has worked for New England Financial since 1997.

Hobbies:  Is a 2nd degree black belt and volunteers as a martial arts instructor.  He holds women's self defense seminars and donates 100% of the proceeds to charity (contact Don if you'd like more information).  He's also been a certified scuba diver since 1980 and has dove all around the world.

Vivian Chu:  Born May 29th, 1967 in Taipei, Taiwan.

Moved to San Jose in 1990 to study economics at SJSU.

Entered the insurance and investment industry in 1995, and has worked for New England Financial since 1998.

Hobbies: Heavily involved in her church choir and is quite the yoga enthusiast.
